A transformed space in a 60 year old iconic tower, reaching deep into the client’s love of art, travel and vast journeys abroad.

Galley Kitchen.

We lowered the kitchen ceiling to provide a chase for pot lighting. All millwork from Randolph’s fabulous downtown shop.

Tile block.

A wall of tile accents the division between the living area and the kitchen. Clean, classic subway tile will endure and forever lend character to this space.

Statement Art

A large painting can work beautifully in a smaller room by creating a focal point that draws the eye and adds a sense of depth and drama. When thoughtfully placed, it can make the space feel more expansive, as the scale of the artwork contrasts with the room’s dimensions, giving the impression of greater height or width. Choosing a piece with light or neutral tones, or a design that complements the room's color palette, can help maintain a sense of balance. Additionally, positioning the painting at the right height and pairing it with minimalist furniture or decor can prevent the room from feeling overcrowded. The large canvas, rather than overwhelming the space, becomes an immersive element that enhances the overall atmosphere, transforming a small room into one with a sense of richness and visual interest.
