23-9 Corporate Suite

Design brief was for a corporate head office, to be light filled yet provide individual working space for about 25 staffers. Previously they had been cooped in a space with very little natural light. We designed windows and a clerestory lighting pattern that allowed natural light to flood through each bay, yet preserved individual working privacy for everyone. Stylistically, our millwork team created a slightly mid century feel with slat wall accents, and two lit millwork towers anchor the hallspace, nicely encompassing some existing structural columns. The slat wall was hand built using rift cut white oak plywood, each slat meticulously edgebanded, everything then stained and lacquered, on a black MDF panel backer. Everything was pre-made in our shop, test fitted, then brough to site. There are no visible joints in the panels, on this sixteen foot wide wall. Great job by the team!
